Smart Trade
Smart Trade: planning a single trade with entry, targets and a stop
Not every trade needs a strategy that repeats. A Smart Trade is one position you plan yourself, with the bot managing the order flow and the exit.
Decide four things first
- Entry: buy now, or wait for a level. A conditional entry can wait for a dip to a price you choose.
- Take profit: where you will sell, and whether to take it all at once or in parts.
- Stop loss: the price at which you accept you were wrong. Write it before you enter, not after.
- Size: how much of your balance you are willing to put at risk on this one idea.
Check the ratio
If your stop is 3% below entry and your target is 2% above, you need to be right more than 60% of the time just to break even. Aim for a target that is at least as far as the stop.
Practise in Demo
Place the same trade in Demo mode a few times and see how it behaves around your levels before you commit real funds.
