How much capital does a DCA bot need?

2026-09-30 · 3 min read

The question is not what the bot spends today, but the most it can spend. That is the figure your balance has to cover.

The rule

Worst case = (base order + all safety orders) × maximum concurrent deals.

A worked example

If you have 300 USDT, either lower the multiplier, use fewer safety orders, or allow fewer simultaneous deals.

Why other bots matter

If several active bots draw on the same wallet, each one has a claim on it. Count the worst case of every active bot together, not each one alone, so a second bot does not starve the first of the funds it needs mid-deal.
