Connecting TradingView alerts to a Signal bot

2026-09-27 · 3 min read

A Signal bot trades when your TradingView alert fires. The connection is a webhook: TradingView sends a message to a private URL, and the bot acts on it.

Steps

  1. Create a Signal bot and open its alerts panel. It shows the bot's own webhook URL and the alert messages it understands.
  2. In TradingView, create an alert and paste the URL into the Webhook URL field.
  3. Paste one of the shown messages into the alert's Message box. Use the exact words the panel shows, because a wrong word is recorded but never traded.
  4. Use TradingView's {{ticker}} placeholder so the message carries the chart's symbol.

Keep it safe

Anyone who has the URL can send your bot an alert. Treat it like a password and do not post it in screenshots or chats.

Test it

Run the bot in Demo mode and check the Alerts log to confirm each alert arrived and what the bot did with it.
